AiPaiNunavik Typeface Poster Design
The AiPaiNunavik typeface was created in 2001 to help people type in syllabics. This poster features a detailed chart of all syllabic characters, organized by vowel and consonant sounds in an easy-to-read layout.
I used a vibrant gradient orange background and illustrations of Inuit cultural elements, adding cultural context and visual interest.
At the bottom, there’s a map of Canada highlighting the regions where syllabics are used, along with a brief history of syllabics and their regions of use.
This poster combines educational content with artistic elements to create an engaging and informative piece. With its bold colours, cultural illustrations, and well-organized layout, it effectively communicates the beauty and importance of the AiPaiNunavik typeface.
